Bitter End

I finished an article
Read by AI
It didn't sound fake
And of course I know why
The voice that I heard 
(Not robotic at all)
Just sounded so natural
But I can recall
That when "she" stopped reading
I blinked in surprise
Her voice hadn't finished
Was still on the rise
As if even though
She had read all the words
She had no idea
That she sounded absurd
And it did seem to me
As if more was to come  
But instead just dead air
So I knew she was done
