Sir Isaac Newton did not live in vain. For an excellent demonstration of gravity working in real time, you have only to look in the mirror occasionally as you get older. In fact, I wrote a little poem about it:
(For the “musical” version…)
Some years ago (aka “earlier in the process”), I was playing with my two young grandchildren, when one of them said, "Grammalinda, you have a lot of wrinkles in your neck!”
I said, “You're right, and do you know why grandmas have a lot of wrinkles in their necks?” They shook their adorable little heads vigorously, and I said, “It’s so their grandkids can play with their necks!”
Then, in such perfect unison it seemed like they had rehearsed, they shrieked, “Can we play with your neck?”
Well, sure. Not like it's going to damage the merchandise, right? And so they did. Sorry you weren't there to see it, because it was just the funniest thing, and they were so serious about it that I didn't think I should burst out laughing, which was what I felt like doing.
At that point their mother walked into the room and they told her what was going on, then ended by asking if they could play with her neck. She said sure. That took about five seconds, and they went off to play, saying, “Grammalinda’s is better.”
Sometimes life gives you the biggest treat.
Thanks for tuning in.
Love those comments!
it's too bad they didn't massage "crepe erase" on you neck while they were playing with it!!!...who needs a spa?
Hearing you sing your tattoo song was the best part! I’m now off to invite my grandkids to play with my neck! Thank you.💗
